Did anyone else in #Texas get Colorado vibes this week, minus the beautiful mountain views 🏔, of course? 🙃 I just thought I’d share a ❄️ winter-like #throwback with a sweet friend from that one time we went to Colorado. #takemeback, in the fall, of course... 🤍⠀

Let’s just say this week’s weather in Texas is why winter isn’t my favorite. I thankfully have everything I need, and while I do miss my friends and getting out of the house, I won’t complain. Plus, they say the roads are better today and that it’s warmer out, so maybe I’ll go for a short drive to... any suggestions? ⠀

I didn’t realize that it wasn’t life, my race, my talents, abilities, or lack of, that disqualified me, but my mindset about it all. If God is FOR me—and HE IS—so is life and everything that I need.

I don’t know about you, but I think it’s time for me to hire a new mindset, the old one no longer serves me. 🤯

Just thinking, that ground hog dun saw his shadow, I hear his name is Phil. 🤔 So, thanks a lot, Phil. Now there’s 6 more weeks of winter ❄️ or something like that. I can’t decide if I’m mad about it or excited that I can wear more of my new sweaters and maybe buy a few more? 🙈 Also, does this mean I can hibernate? I went grocery shopping yesterday and let’s just say I’m stocked for the next few... days, who am I kidding. I’ll take a short hibernation, that’s fine. 🤣😏

With God, there’s no plan B. God’s plan is in our willingness to listen and obey the next step and then the next one and so on...

We teach people how to treat us and if we don’t like the way they’ve treated us, the fault is not with them but with us. Maybe it’s time for a new lesson plan? #theglowup #upgradeinprogress

The only person I can control is ME and even that is a work in progress sometimes. 🤪#notanothercookiethough

Staying offended is my selfish attempt of manipulating the other person into saying that they were wrong or wanting them to cater to my hurt feelings. It can also be (and most likely is) the result of my failure to remember just how LOVED and FORGIVEN I really am. 🔐 #realfreedom

God is not behind the hurts we’ve endured at the hands of another’s FREE will. (I’ll say it, this includes Christians 😶) ALSO, most times unrealistic, unmet expectations can be the cause of the hurt. #selah 🤔

It’s my choice of whether I’ll stay hurt or heal from it. God is not only close to the broken hearted, He heals them too. #hearthealth ❤️🤍

Relationship is more important than being right. It helps to remember that, like me, the person on the other side is NOT perfect. They’re trying too, give a little grace, maybe? #friendsforeverrrr

I don’t have to live up to the standards people have placed on my life. “You’re how old?! You should be x y z...” Ummm, NO! 😤 “The children of God are led by the Spirit of God” not the standards of man. #thankyouthough 😚

Don’t judge a book by its cover and also don’t judge an article by its headline; go deeper. It won’t hurt. 🙃 #getALLthetea #yupiwentthere

I cannot, will not, and do not miss out on anything vital to my being. #FOMOwho ⁉️

I do not have to fight nor “pay” for spaces and places in peoples lives. #peoplepleasingnomore

I CAN be friends with and LOVE people who have different political views than me!! There’s MORE to political choices than meets the eye.. & I don’t know their “why” or their life experience. #justsaying

The same world that encourages us to STAND OUT shuns us for not blending in. SO, #BEYOUBOO
